M. Natasha Reid of FIT Money Magazine on Social Media

Posted on 23 March 2010 by admin

Harlem Social spoke with Natasha Reid, founder of the Harlem based FIT Money Magazine about social media and here’s what she had to say.

HS: How has social media played a role in your success with FIT Money Magazine?

Reid: Social media palyed a HUGH role. By using the various social media sites, we can alert our readers to our next issue, connect with them on topics they may like or dislike, find out what they would like to see and truly engage with them in dialogue traditionally held for mail, email correspondence or long wait times in the phone cue. Social media raise our brand awareness as well. I can’t tell you how many conversations I’ve been in with people I have recently met and when I tell them I’m with F.I.T. Money, the response is similar, “Oh, I’ve heard of that somewhere before.”
